About

Hi there! My name is Jessica. I have been married for three years now to my wonderful husband and I am currently a stay-at-home mom to my sweet kiddos–AJ & Juliet. Before becoming a mom, I have worked in and out of various childcare settings including daycares, in-home as a nanny, after school programs, tutoring programs and classrooms. I have experience teaching preschool, kindergarten & early childhood special education. I graduated from Michigan State University with my degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Early Childhood General & Special Education. I went back and received my Masters degree from Michigan State in Teaching & Curriculum with a specialization in literacy & language instruction.

Needless to say, there are very few things I love more than BOOKS and KIDS. In addition to the books I have out for my kids, I would estimate that I have around 500 children’s books in my basement storage room from closing up my classroom, yet somehow I always feel like we could use more. I am loving my new role as a stay-at-home mom, but the teacher in me has never fully “retired”. It is my hope that this blog will keep my teacher heart happy through sharing my favorite books, developmental activities and mealtime tips for you & your little one!
