Baby’s 1st Easter Basket

I have always really loved holidays, so it is not surprising that I get VERY excited about all my son’s “firsts”. I actually bought his Easter basket last year on clearance after Easter from Pottery Barn Kids with his name embroidered on it before he was even born! I can’t wait to have it out this year for his first Easter with us.

what is the bunny bringing?

The bunny and I are friends that is how I know what he is bringing my son 😉

  • Books! (of course)
That’s not my bunny… by Fiona Watt
These books are SO cute. I love their repetitive nature so kids can grasp the pattern and become active participants with reading the story.

The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter
A classic…I remember my mom reading this book to me around Easter time as a kid, so I knew I had to get it for my son. I got him the board book version for now, but it also comes in a hardcover storybook.

We’re Going on an Egg Hunt lift-the-flap book by Laura Hughes
This book is fun and encourages active listening by engaging children in lifting the flaps as you read along! If you have a “Bear Hunt” lover, this book is a great add-on to the collection!

  • Stuffed bunny rattle

Super soft and snuggly, we can never have enough rattles around here! All my son wants to do is shake, shake, shake whatever is in his hand!

  •  Socks

We haven’t tried the Burts Bees socks before, but I am excited to because we love all of their other products!

  • Easter duck toys

These will be fun for the bathtub and then soon in the water table outside in the backyard!

  • Gymboree Bubbles

We love visiting our local Gymboree play center—especially for their BUBBLES. I was so excited when I found out they sell their wand that makes blowing bubbles for your baby easy and fun!

  • Learning Resources Peekaboo Learning Farm

A recommendation from Janelle from The Play Effect, I am very excited about giving this to my son. Although he is a bit younger than the recommended age, I know t will be a great learning toy for him to grow into. Not only will he build on his language playing with the farm, but number concepts, colors and object permanence (“peekaboo” concept)  as well.

  • I also plan to throw in his favorite snack, Yogis by Happy Baby Organic

where can you find it?

Almost all the items can be found on Amazon with the exception of the bunny rattle and the Easter ducks I found in the children’s section of the Easter display area in Target. I shared a similar set of Easter ducks and GUND brand bunny toy below that looks super cute and too!

I hope you all have a happy Easter with family and stay healthy!
